Here are some great examples! We love receiving them in English and Spanish. Making care cards can also be done solo. We love every card we get. You can mail them to:

Packing Event

Host your own packing event! You decide how many kids you want to feed, then purchase the food needed using our Food Buying List with the assistance of Program & Volunteer Coordinator. Portland Backpack will help you facilitate the event by providing an educational moment and volunteer management. We come to you and work with your team to pack food and a little love into bags for our kids.

PACK FOOD SACKS
AT HOME!

Your family or small group can pack food sacks at home! Buy the food, create the care cards, and pack the sacks. Click here for instructions on how to pack the sacks. Here is a short video. We distribute our food sacks in plastic grocery bags because they are the strongest and easiest for a kid to walk home with. But if you don’t have them, pack in paper or other plastic bags and we will transfer them when you drop them off.
